Buckshaw Retirement Village held Activities for Nutrition and Hydration Week.

Residents of the Retirement Village in Chorley, Lancashire, were treated to a week of activities to celebrate Nutrition and Hydration Week.

The week-long event aimed to promote the importance of good nutrition and hydration for older adults. The activities included talks from members of staff who discussed the benefits of a healthy diet and the importance of staying hydrated.

The residents enjoyed cooking demonstrations and tasted delicious and healthy food.

The residents enjoyed the activities and appreciated the effort put in by the staff to promote healthy eating and drinking habits. They also enjoyed the opportunity to socialize and bond over a shared interest in healthy living.

Nutrition and Hydration Week is an annual event that aims to promote the importance of good nutrition and hydration for all. It is particularly important for older adults, who may have difficulty staying properly hydrated or may not be getting all the nutrients they need from their diet.

The Retirement Village’s activities for Nutrition and Hydration Week were a great success and helped to raise awareness of the importance of healthy eating and drinking habits. The residents left feeling empowered to make positive changes in their diets and lifestyles to promote their health and wellbeing.
