Residents at The Grange recently embarked on a journey around the world without leaving home, enjoying a themed tea-tasting session…
Having strong links with the local community is an important part of life at The Grange, and one of those connections is with Radio Leyland. Residents regularly tune in to the station’s Magic Moments broadcast, where they enjoy hearing familiar songs, sharing requests and listening out for birthday shout-outs.
Recently, Tommy and Fiona were delighted to hear their birthday messages on air, along with their chosen songs, Little Ole Wine Drinker Me and Mull of Kintyre. Moments like these are enjoyed by everyone listening and often spark conversations and shared memories.
The connection goes beyond listening, too. One resident recently had the opportunity to spend time volunteering at the station, taking part in something different and engaging with people outside the home.
Simple experiences like these help our residents stay connected, involved and part of the wider community.
