Gardening Club Blooms at The Grange

Residents at The Grange have been getting their hands dirty as part of the popular Gardening Club, spending time outdoors, getting active and putting their creativity to good use.

As well as tending to plants and helping keep outdoor spaces looking their best, residents have recently been busy creating decorative straw wreaths, adding their own personal touch to the garden.

Gardening remains a favourite activity for many residents, offering the chance to enjoy fresh air, gentle physical activity and the satisfaction of watching projects take shape over time. It also provides plenty of opportunities for socialising, sharing ideas and working together.

Each year, The Grange takes part in HICA in Bloom, HICA’s annual gardening competition, which sees homes and services from across the organisation showcase their outdoor spaces, planting projects and creative displays. Friendly competition is always in full bloom, with residents taking great pride in preparing their gardens and sharing the results of their hard work.

The competition celebrates not only gardening skills, but also the teamwork, creativity and dedication that go into creating welcoming outdoor spaces. The winning service will be presented with the HICA in Bloom trophy and prize at the annual SHINE Ball later this year.

With plenty of enthusiasm already on display, the Gardening Club is looking forward to another year of growing, creating and preparing for the competition.
