There may have been clouds overhead for National Umbrella Day, but inside The Grange at Buckshaw Retirement Village, it was nothing but colour, creativity, and classic movie magic.
Residents enjoyed a wonderfully themed day organised by our creative activities team, who are always finding imaginative ways to bring people together. The morning saw tables filled with bright papers, ribbons, and cheerful designs as residents created their own colourful umbrella crafts. Laughter flowed freely as each masterpiece took shape, proving that a little imagination can brighten even the greyest of days.
In the afternoon, everyone gathered for a joyful screening of “Singin’ in the Rain”, complete with plenty of toe-tapping and a few gentle singalongs. The film brought back fond memories, sparked conversations, and filled the room with smiles.
