Residents at Buckshaw record Climate Change podcasts

Residents at Buckshaw Retirement Village were recently visited by Caroline from Udevelop, a local company dedicated to providing bespoke training programmes via a variety of platforms.

Caroline ran an interactive session about Climate change for the residents, where they watched a climate change film. They then discussed their views on climate change and the issues surrounding it.

Caroline said ‘. It was extremely interesting listening to their views because we had run the tour previously with primary and secondary schools. It was very informative hearing what they do on a day-to-day basis.’

At the end of the session several residents were invited to write scripts and recorded some mini podcasts that discussed climate change and its effects on the world today. All residents involved were fascinated by the session and thoroughly enjoyed the podcast process. For many residents this was their first taste of the podcast world.

Caroline, talking about their podcasts, added, “They were truly inspirational and very informative!!”
